A new successful breeding site of Collared Pratincole <i>Glareola pratincola</i> along the northern Adriatic coastline

The Collared Pratincole Glareola pratincola has a large and fragmented breeding distribution in the Palearctic. In Italy it is an uncommon migrant breeder sites are very patchily distributed irregularly used, with most frequent occurrences N Adriatic, Apulia, Campania, Sardinia Sicily. We report new site for species along northern Adriatic coastline Marano Grado Lagoon (Friuli Venezia Giulia region, NE Italy), which represents first evidence Friuli region.
